A Shopper’s Paradise

Surrounded by Hampton Lake, Cypress Creek and conservations areas, Grand Hampton feels like its own oasis, a world away from city life. However, another kind of paradise awaits just minutes away.

"New Tampa has seen an infusion of retail with specialty stores and malls opening or under construction making the area a shopper’s paradise,” said Maura Lear, marketing coordinator, Grand Hampton.

The Grove at Wesley Chapel opened last year featuring favorites such as Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Toys R Us, Babies R Us and PetSmart. JC Penney opened as the first anchor store at the Shops at Wiregrass located on Bruce B. Downs and SR 56. The $105 million mall is scheduled to be complete in the fall of 2008. Dillard’s, Macy’s, Barnes & Noble, Pottery Barn, Apple, Banana Republic and J. Crew are just a sampling of the stores planned to enhance the shopping for Grand Hampton residents.

A short drive away will be Cypress Creek Town Center located at I-75 and SR 56. With over 930,000 square feet, it will be the largest among the three rival malls serving New Tampa. Kohl’s, Costco, Super Target, Circuit City and Linens ‘N Things are just some of the 42 names coming to the center. Shoppers will also be able to catch a movie at AMC Theaters or relax and dine at 12 restaurants.

“While the focus recently has been on large retailers, there are still plenty of local specialty stores,” added Lear. Wine and gourmet shops, boutiques, decorating studios and local restaurants are all within minutes of Grand Hampton.
